Mazda Motor Corporation announced a Safety Recall Campaign for Mazda 6 2.2L Diesel. Several modified parts will be prepared for enhancing the vehicle durability.
A. Injector Gasket Insufficient Sealing
The inspection and re-tightening of the injector mounting nuts within appropriate torque is a preventive measure to avoid the engine oil being carbonized and causing the oil strainer being clogged.
B. Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Re-programme
The modified PCM software Re-programme is a preventive measure, to avoid the injector control circuit from being short-circuited, allowing fuel injection stop and causing engine stall.
C. Preventing Fuel Return Hose leakage
Replacing the modified Fuel Return Hose is a preventive measure. It is possible that the sealing performance of the fuel return hose attaching portion may decrease and a crack may be generated inside the hose. If the vehicle continues to be used with such condition, the crack may progress, resulting in the fuel leak from the fuel return hose.
There is no immediate effect on the operation of the vehicle and no associated accident is received regarding this issue in Hong Kong. Vang Iek Motors (HK) Limited will contact you directly for the detailed arrangement.
